I practice a function-based approach in my vocal teaching. I believe that by helping students to understand how their instrument works, it empowers them to unlock their vocal potential! No matter what genre of music you want to sing, we can work together to find a healthy and sustainable sound that works for your voice!
With my students, I use methods I learned while completing my degrees and additional trainings, including Somatic Voicework™ - The LoVetri Method and Estill Voice Training. I also draw upon my experience as a vocalist, including my time working with Marci Rosenberg at the University of Michigan Vocal Health Clinic.
What is an Initial Fit Lesson?
The initial fit lesson is for students interested in weekly lessons. During this 45-minute session ($50), we will get to know each other a little bit. If we both feel it is a good fit, I will send you further information and we can get started with weekly lessons based on scheduling availability!
I offer voice lessons in jazz, musical theatre, pop, and classical styles in-person and via Zoom. Lessons are catered to each student's vocal needs. In lessons, we will address vocal function, style, and performance presentation. Lessons are scheduled on a weekly basis. I also offer drop-in lessons for students interested in brushing up on their vocal skills or preparing for an audition.
